Impressions of Ankara University
Yesterday we spent the day visiting Ankara University. Ankara University is similar to Tokyo University. It is a well-respected and has a long history. About 40,000 students study there.
We met many people and everyone was interested in our Road to Eurasian Civilizations program. Two students guided us around the city. They took us to three campuses. At the first one, we visited the student dorms. We spent some time at the campus where the Department of Japanese Language Studies is. Prof Tekmen introduced us to Prof Sugiyama and Prof Matano. We also met some of the students. The students are looking forward to meeting you. And, many of them want to be host families next year when you visit.
