ホストファミリー先での様子をお知らせします。学生から送られてきた写真と自分たちで書いたコメントもつけます。まずは、この二人からです。

「日本料理の手まり寿司と白玉を作って食べました。その後、家族みんなで歌舞伎のフェイスパックをつけて遊んだり、駄菓子をプレゼントしました。家族みんな私たちの作った日本料理と、日本からのお土産を喜んでくれました。」（Asami , Hikari）

We will show you photos taken at the students’ homes in Santa Cruz with their comments on the photos. Here is a first photo sent from Asami and Hikari. They say, “We made small ball-like Sushi and some dessert made from rice powder.  After dinner, we played with face packs painted like Kabuki (an imprint of the face make-up of kabuki actors). Kabuki is a traditional form of Japanese theater, We were happy that our host family loved Japanese dishes and gifts.

次は、週末にこの近くにあるモントレーという観光地に遊びに行って、家族ととても楽しく過ごしているとコメントしています。（Sayumi and Kanako）

One of these students stayed with this family last year and she came back to the same family again!  They say, “We are really enjoying our life with our wonderful host family. We went to Monterey and saw seals this weekend. (Written by Sayumi and Kanako)

現地コーディーネーターの家にも、今年は一人行っています。参加者の中の唯一の男児学生からの写真とコメントです。

「ルシオと一緒にバーガーというハンバーガー屋さんに行って来ました。I went to a restaurant named Burgur with Lucio.  It was good.」（Sho）
