さあ、ここからホストファミリー先へのお礼のスピーチの始まりです。練習していた文章が涙で言えなくなっている人が多かったのですが、楽しかった思い出に感謝していることは伝わったでしょう！

Here was the climax of the ceremony. Many students were choking up as they thanked their host families for being a real family for them. Tear eyed students eventually smiled brightly filled with happy memories.

この学生はホストシスターからなにか渡されたようです。このプログラムに参加してている家族の子どもたちが、どんどん大きくなっていく姿に驚くばかりです。

This student got a letter from her host sister. It’s amazing to see every year how fast children in the participating families have grown up. This girl was a preschooler at the beginning!

「旅立ちのうた」はとてもうまく歌えました！ 会場からは大きな拍手が起こっていました！

They sang a song in two part harmony and did well, receiving much applause from the audience. The song is about time to say goodbye which also means a new beginning and the start of a whole life. That’s exactly what “Commencement” is supposed to be.

今年のケーキもなかなかのデザインでしたね。味もよかったです。

This was the Bunkyo Cake in 2014! Each year it has a different toppings and flavors but always tasted very delicious! Thank you, Jinsu, for preparing all the refreshments.

皆さん、素晴らしい2週間をありがとう！ また来年もよろしくお願いします。

Thank you again to all of you! We had a great 2 weeks and some of them may come back again. A new group of students and the same teacher will see you again next year for sure!
