Spencer went to his third host family, Wakabayashi family, on Tuesday. His host mother sent me some photos taken at their home and many other places he had visited.
火曜日からスペンサーは、３家族目にホームスティ中です。若林家から、彼との交流場面の分かる写真がたくさん送られてきましたので、いくつか紹介します。
Wakabayashi family welcomed Spencer into their nice home. They had a welcoming dinner at the nearby restaurant. The family had a good conversation with him on a variety of issues such as each other’s families, children’s education in the US and Japan, and countries he’s visited so far.
歓迎会を近所の和食のお店で行いました。家族の話、アメリカと日本の幼児教育や、今まで訪れたことのある国などについて色々と話しました。
His host mother took Spencer to her mother’s house. He found her mother had the same hobby as he has had: it’s sawing! He got some scraps of fabric from her mother and was so excited!
ホストマザーのお母さんの家に連れて行ってくれました。そこでスペンサーは彼女の母と縫物の趣味が同じことを知り、手拭いや古い着物の端切れをもらい、二人は盛り上がっていました
Spencer had a lesson on Kendo basics. He has learned how a typical Kendo training session goes. He had his kendo experience for about an hour practicing striking specific targets on the head, wrist, trunk, and throat.
スペンサーは剣道の練習に参加しました。基礎の足さばきから小手面胴を習い、１時間しっかり稽古しました。
Mimi got a drawing of herself drawn by the girl in the giraffe class. It was the last day of her internship today!
今日で、ふじみ野幼稚園での実習が全部終了しました。クラスの一人がミミと一緒いる絵を描いてくれました。とっても素敵！
