She had fun making Takoyaki with her host sister and brother. Takoyaki is a very casual fast food or snack that is in the shape of little round balls. It is made of a wheat flour-based batter filled with minced octopus (tako), green onions, and pickled ginger. If you want to make your own Takoyaki at home, you need a Takoyaki pan like one in this photo.

こちらは、子どもたちとたこ焼きをつくっているところです。たこ焼きは、子どもも大人も好きな日本のファーストフードまたはおやつですね。たこ焼きはこのように家でも作れますが、たこ焼き専用のプレートが必要です。

Shrines, temples, hot springs, Japanese food, ramen noodles, and shopping. There are so many things that you must do in Japan. At the end of the day, why don’t you enjoy singing at a Karaoke Box in the evening?  So, Nancy and Candice went to a Karaoke box with some Bunkyo students this evening. They seemed to enjoy singing!

神社、お寺、温泉、和食、ラーメン、買い物と日本でやらなければいけないことはたくさんあります。一日の終わりにカラオケで思いっきり歌うのも、経験したいことの一つではないでしょうか。そこで、ナンシーとキャンディスも、文京の学生と一緒にカラオケに行きました。キャンディスは初体験だったようです。二人とも楽しんでいたようです。
