The students had a whole day tour in Tokyo with Bunkyo students. They went to Ueno Park and visited Hanazono Inari (the Shinto deity of rice) Shrine in the park. If you don’t have a chance to visit the famous Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto, you get a little taste of the Torii Tunnel here in this Hanazono Inari Shrine. It is a shrine that supports women looking to strengthen their relationship with their significant other or with people in general.
今日は朝から一日、東京観光の日でした。まずは上野公園内にある花園稲荷神社に行って、有名な京都の伏見稲荷神社の雰囲気を感じさせる赤い鳥居を見てきました。ここは、縁結びの祈願をするだけではなく、人間関係を円滑にするためのパワースポットにもなっているようです。

They had lunch at the traditional Japanese restaurant inside Ueno Park. The restaurant was founded 140 years ago.
上野公園内の韻松亭でランチを食べました。かつては、横山大観もオーナーだったことがある創業140年のお店で日本情緒に浸りました。

Like Nikko’s Toshogu Shrine, Ueno Toshogu shrine is elaborately decorated with brilliant red, blue, green, and gold ornamentation. Toshogu Shrine worships Tokugawa Ieyasu as a god. Tokugawa Ieyasu founded the Edo era which continued for 300 years.
日光の東照宮のように、上野東照宮も色彩豊かな色で飾られています。東照宮は300年も続いた江戸幕府を築いた徳川家康を祀る神社です。
